I think we have a bit in common. Back in 1999 I decided I wanted to get through all those books you should know. The ones that are always referenced. I got through a fair chunk, and then I got stuck. I have been reading Fitzgerald for a while and that is what my latest project is about. I would love if you stopped over and check out what I am doing.

Oh and I do not think Gatsby is overrated- I think there is much to be taken today from his writing.
-Laurie
http://fitzgeraldmusings.blogspot.com/

PS what is next for you?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13966538770293572551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826660492524293078.post-53675820457677130582011-05-24T16:36:35.102-07:002011-05-24T16:36:35.102-07:00One of my absolute favorites. I've read it many times since then. Wonderful book.IngridLolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16079137600900264656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826660492524293078.post-43810665582000609312011-05-19T15:34:50.051-07:002011-05-19T15:34:50.051-07:00Such a great book! This makes me want to read it again.

I agree with you, I like the "view behind the curtain" of the 20's. It's a time period I'd love to visit - to be part of those parties!

I remember not being too impressed with Daisy. Insecure and shallow are great adjectives to describe her. I found her undeserving of the attention being bestowed upon her.Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00068505185508588407noreply@blogger.com
