It is interesting that her fiction is often so opaque, but Woolf's essays are very clear and logical.bibliophiliachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15495943887513443615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826660492524293078.post-45359699551212890122010-11-13T05:52:48.974-08:002010-11-13T05:52:48.974-08:00It seems Woolf has a large presence over the blog ...It seems Woolf has a large presence over the blog & that makes me curious, so will be checking her out in the near future.
Thanks for your write up
Parrish@parridhlanternhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12793548943992250238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826660492524293078.post-89785834947471022992010-11-13T03:22:06.779-08:002010-11-13T03:22:06.779-08:00I love Woolf but The Waves is probably my least fa...I love Woolf but The Waves is probably my least favorite of her books. But it might be useful to read some blogs, reviews, or research about whichever book you try, (I recommend you start with To the Lighthouse), alongside the novel itself. It can really help you see things that are difficult to notice on our first reading.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18137397971666050120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826660492524293078.post-91622265279708057702010-11-12T09:50:40.294-08:002010-11-12T09:50:40.294-08:00Seems there are lots of people who struggle(d) wit...Seems there are lots of people who struggle(d) with Woolf. I hope this doesn't scare any of you away from her writing; she's a genius. I say, start with To the Lighthouse with "stream-of-consciousness" and patience in mind and you're all set. :)Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18137397971666050120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826660492524293078.post-42204259222208354032010-11-11T20:09:46.055-08:002010-11-11T20:09:46.055-08:00Hi Amy!
